Last.FM outrage!

Yes, I too am saddened by Last.fm becoming paid in a lot of countries, but I've found deezer.com. It's basically Last.FM but with an iPhone app in a lot more countries! Set the music free and join me at deezer.com! :)

Flight Control

Today a friend of mine recommended this iphone app to me. Flight control is a well designed and most of all fun iphone/ipod game. You direct large and small airplanes onto the landing strip using your finger to draw a path. But wait! There's a slow helicopter approaching! With plane after plane flying onto the screen, you'll have a tough time not crashing after a while. When two aircrafts collide, it's game over. I've only just started playing and I can't stop! (:

The game is currently available for €0,79 on the app store.

handwriting as a font? for free?

Ever wish you could do all your essays on the computer? Are you annoyed that your handwriting is so inconsistent? Or do you just want to type the way you write?
At yourfonts you can follow a few easy steps to create your own handwriting font, all you need is a printer, a scanner and a good pen. I would show your mine but it would haunt you for the rest of your life. And that's not the website's fault.

Review: Google Earth 5.0

I've had the new version installed on my PC for a while now, and I must say, GE 5 is awesome! Not only can you explore the oceans, the whole archive of satelite and aerial shots (some even dating back to the 40's!) is available and easily accesed through the handy timeline feature. Other updates such as Google Mars are great too, but the history feature is the most prominent.

Youtube update - click to download

With youtube having HD and widescreen, I am really eager to see what they'll roll out next. Well now, it is possible to direct downlaod the .mp4 file on certain videos. For example, this weekly address from pres. Barack Obama.

Again props to YouTube for doing this!!

edit: as for now, the default downlaod is the SD .mp4, not the 720p HD version of the video

Smosh - breaking the habit

I have been a fan of smosh for some years now and they really keep their quality up. Sometimes a short is not as great, but that's easily balanced out with their other amazing videos. This week, a new short came out, called Breaking the Habit, and it's as random as usual. :D

Downloads.nl

While Downloads.nl doesn't offer a great image and software search, it does do an amazing job of searching for mp3's. You can search by any keyword, it can be in the album, title or artist, you get a nice flash player to preview. You can view the filesize filetype, artist and at the bottom of every page you can click to search lyrics. Great for checking out that one song your friend was talking about or for searching those lyrics you couldn't remember.

Freeman's Mind/Civil Protection

Long time no see! And it's because of the Orange Box.... (And school)

As a result, I've recently become a fan of the Half-Life world and so I stumbled upon these great machinima series by Ross Scott. Have fun.

Freeman's Mind(the original Half-Life)& Civil protection (Half-Life 2)
